Growing up in a small town in East Tennessee at Christmas was so exciting.
We always looked forward to the weekend we hung the Christmas lights across the main street of “Broadway.” At our house, we waited eagerly to go to the woods to cut down that perfect cedar tree to bring home. Experiencing the “white Christmas” time at church was the highlight because it always occurred the last service before Christmas. It was a time of giving and worship. As I prepared to go into the studio for this CD, I was thinking of all the wonderful memories I have of Christmas. I wanted to do something very simple, with no orchestra, just simply playing songs of the holiday season for people to listen to as they might sit by the fire or wrap gifts. I hope these melodies will bring back special memories for you as you listen!
